In this episode, I am speaking about how the energy and feeling of disappointment can be a healing gateway into lasting change. I am continuing to pull on the threads that form the basis of a truly lasting transformation journey for the self. This is a year which offers many energetic opportunities to truly tranform yourself and there are many themes that weave in and out of the transformation process. When we are willing to look at any disappointment or unmet expectations in our lives, we can then use a fresh perspective to release something which cannot continue on the next unfolding part of our life journey. Welcome to Season Three of my podcast "10,000 hours...and counting". In this first episode of 2026, I am chatting with Juliana Sloane; Buddhist Mindfulness Teacher, Depth Hypnosis Practitioner, and Applied Shamanic Counsellor. We will be discussing what it truly takes to create sustained, meaningful transformation from within. It's a good time to open up to new ways of being in your life with this "Number 1" year numerology. We will discuss the ways in which the foundation of genuine transformation process doesn't come as a magic wand and requires an attitude of gentleness towards the self during the change or metamorphosis stage. We share how being present to yourself in the moment and releasing attachment to your "story", can open you up to new experiences, how letting go of the need for control and surrendering to the unknown are both essential pillars of transformation. Transformation may begin with a "spark" that sometimes feels out of your control perhaps, but is then embodied by the sustained, gradual sometimes tiny changes. We will also delve into the wisdom of Shamanic work - gateways of life, thresholds, the natural cycles of soul initiations and inner growth and explain how the body is a great vehicle for supporting soul work. As humans how we experience suffering when we cling to tightly to things, and the freedom comes in accepting reality for what it is, in order to make changes. All achievement and striving, it's not healing. Healing happens one step at a time, we don't have to be overwhelmed by the big goal. In this episode, I am sharing the part of my path which has been my biggest challenge and also the biggest gift. Doubting the self, but trusting the path. It's always this way on the path, that which feels like your burden is meant to be the cataylst for your growth, freedom and expansion into more of your true self, the soul essence.
