If you need time to know how you feel, that’s not a bad thing. It’s called processing. When someone asks “how do you feel about this?” and you pause. Pausing isn’t avoidance. It’s wiring.

For men, emotion usually takes a longer path—moving through logic and language before it reaches words. For women, those circuits connect more directly, so emotion usually comes faster. Just different routes to the same truth, turning raw feeling into understanding and communication.

When you need space before you speak, take it. It’s not holding back. It’s letting your mind catch up to your heart.
